CHIRANJEEVI’s announcement of his entry into politics was followed by a personal tragedy when his friend and noted actor HARI PRASAD died at TV9 studio on Sunday night. Hari Prasad, 52, was at the TV9 studio, awaiting his turn to speak on Chiranjeevi’s political entry when he collapsed. He was immediately taken to a private hospital but he died in the night while undergoing treatment.
Chiranjeevi, Hari Prasad and Sudhakar were roommates and contemporaries while taking training in acting at a film institute. Hari Prasad had reporedly been undergoing treatment for obesity in a city hospital for the past couple of months. Apart from playing roles in several Telugu and other language films, Hari Prasad played the lead role in the Telugu hit, Sivaranjani.
Chiranjeevi visited the hosptial and mourned his associate at a time when he embarked on a political career. Prasad acted in over 100 films and also produced some movies in Telugu (Chiranjeevi starrer Yamudiki Mogudu) apart from Kannada. He was also said to be associated with a studio in Khammam district. Megastar expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
